The Regeneration Challenge
The Regeneration Challenge involves giving new life to clothing, shoes, and synthetic and natural materials that would normally be thrown away. Through a series of workshops, students are encouraged to think creatively, solve problems, become more aware of the environmental challenges we face and how we might overcome them, and develop their art making skills in a variety of media. Designed for students in grades 4 to 6, the focus is on helping to care for self, each other, and all life on this planet we share. Artworks created from the workshops can be given as gifts to family members or friends or enjoyed by the students themselves.
Newfoundland and Labrador Through The Eyes of Our Visual Artists
Art allows us to look at our environment in a new way by revealing patterns that we might not see or that we take for granted. In this session we will examine aspects of Newfoundland and Labrador's natural history through the eyes of our visual artists and explore watercolour painting. This three part workshop series is designed for students in grades 1 to 3.
