Folkit - Shirley Montague, Charlie Payne, and Wayne Parson

FOLKIT consists of three local musicians: Wayne Parsons, Charlie Payne and Shirley Montague. With decades of music-making experience behind them, this trio launched its inaugural gig at the Woody Point Heritage Theatre in April of 2022. Born out of an informal session where traditional tunes and folk songs floated from former set-lists, FOLKIT promises to entertain. Wayne Parsons and Charlie Payne are from Woody Point and have a long history of making music together. Shirley Montague's musical roots, initially formed in her hometown of North West River Labrador, followed her to Norris Point, her adoptive home.
